[Post-event] Smart Mobility Summit: A 5G Perspective

APAS organised the “APAS Smart Mobility Summit: A 5G Perspective” on 25 May. The event was officiated by Ms Rebecca Pun, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology of the HKSAR Government; Mr Willy Lin, Chairman of HKPC; Mr Mohamed Butt, Executive Director of HKPC; and Dr Lawrence Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of APAS.

We also announced the establishment of Autonomous Driving Alliance with more than 30 public and private organisations, including the Government departments, automotive and telecommunications industries, the relevant associations, R&D centres and universities, etc.. In a bid to foster cooperation and exchanges on the latest technologies, market trend, standards and regulations among the “Government, industry, academic and research” sectors. All serve to drive the development of autonomous driving technology, strengthening the interactions of industries, plus expediting the pace of commercialisation and application of the relevant R&D items in Hong Kong.

In addition, APAS signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings Limited, aiming to provide Hong Kong people with smarter and more convenient mobility mode for enhancing customer experience.
